Venting Emails

Privacy, in plain language.

Your submission is private to you and our review team. We built this for perspective, not a public pile-on.

What we keep

We store your email address, submission text, case status, payment reference, team votes, and written opinions to run the service. If you email a submission, we process the message and limited attachment metadata; attachments are not part of the review.

Please remove other people's names, addresses, contact details, and other identifying information. Do not submit passwords, financial account details, medical records, or intimate images.

Who can see a case

Our authenticated review team can read your case. Your private case link also grants access to your submission and result, so keep it to yourself. We do not publish your case on either website or sell it as content.

This is a small entertainment service. A private case is not a confidential professional relationship with a lawyer, therapist, clergy member, or other adviser.

Payments and email

In the live service, Stripe processes payment details. We store payment references and status; we do not store your card number. Our email provider processes submission and result messages. Hosting and email providers necessarily handle data to deliver this service.

We send messages about your case, payment, and result. We do not add you to a marketing list. Local test mode simulates payment and keeps outgoing messages in the team's local outbox.

Retention and deletion

Case content is automatically removed 90 days after submission. Your private result link then expires. Minimal payment records may be retained separately for accounting and dispute handling.

You can permanently delete an unpaid, published, or rejected case from its private case page. Cases being reviewed become eligible after the team completes or rejects them. Deletion removes the submission and result from the service; it cannot recall emails already delivered to you. Deletion does not request a refund.

Cookies and access

Team members use a secure session cookie to sign in. Public submitters do not need an account. We do not use advertising trackers. Keep your private link safe; someone with it can access your case and, when eligible, delete it.
